Job summary

PUB Public Utilities Board - Singapore (Changi Water Reclamation Plant) is seeking an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) to join our operations team. The role focuses on implementing maintenance strategies to keep critical water treatment equipment running safely and efficiently, enabling high-quality NEWater production and safe discharge to the sea.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to respond to urgent situations outside normal working hours.
• Comfortable working in a used water environment.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration monitoring is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on M&E and auxiliary equipment in used water processes.
• Assist supervisor to procure spares and monitor inventory and expenditures.
• Respond to equipment abnormalities and execute SOPs when required.
• Utilize Asset Management System for procurement, contract, asset and inventory management.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency and equipment reliability.
