Job summary

Singapore Public Service at Changi Water Reclamation Plant is seeking an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Shift Operations) to join our team. You will assist the Shift Leader in monitoring and controlling plant processes, and safely operate M&E and auxiliary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control plant processes and operate M&E and auxiliary equipment safely
• Respond to abnormalities and carry out SOP when required
• Record process and equipment readings, perform site checks and troubleshoot minor faults
• Carry out site checks and maintain operating records for equipment and plant
• Carry out sampling and testing of process parameters to ensure quality output
• Log all shift events in the operations logbook and report equipment breakdowns
• Attend to alarms detected within the Plant and perform other duties as assigned

As an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Shift Operations)atChangi Water Reclamation Plant,you will play a vital role in treating used water to produce high-quality NEWater and ensure safe discharge to the sea. We are looking for motivated individuals to join us. Your main responsibilities are:

What you will be working on

• Assist the Shift Leader tomonitorand control plantprocesses andtooperateM&E and auxiliary equipment safely
• Respond to abnormalities and carry out SOPwhenrequired.
• Record process and equipment operating readings, perform sitechecksand troubleshoot minor equipment failures.
• Carry out site checks of equipment and plant operating conditions regularly and take down relevant operating records
• Carry out sampling and testing of specific process parameters to ensure compliance to desired quality output.
• Record all events that occurred during the shift duty in the operations logbook.
• Report all equipment breakdown that occurred during the shift in the daily fault notification file.
• Check equipment and plant operating conditions regularly and take down relevant operating records
• Attend to alarms detected within the Plant.
• Any other duties assigned.
