Job summary

PUB, The National Water Agency in Singapore invites applications for an Engineer/Executive Engineer/Senior Engineer (Electrical) at Changi Water Reclamation Plant. You will join a team to treat used water into NEWater, ensure safe discharge, and implement maintenance strategies for critical M&E equipment.

Responsibilities include performing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance with engineers and contractors, devising maintenance plans and budgets, managing spares and inventory,

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to respond to urgent situations outside normal hours.

• Assist supervisor to devise maintenance plan and budget, procure essential spares, monitor spares inventory and expenditures.
• Respond to equipment abnormalities and carry out SOP when required.
• Utilise enterprise systems for procurement, contract management, asset and inventory management.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability.

What the role is:

As an Engineer/Executive Engineer/Senior Engineer (Electrical) at Changi Water Reclamation Plant, you will play a vital role in treating used water to produce high-quality NEWater and ensure safe discharge to the sea. Working alongside a team of engineers and contractors, you will implement various maintenance strategies to keep critical water treatment equipment running safely and efficiently. What you will be working on:

• Work with engineers and contractors to perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance works safely for M&E and auxiliary equipment in used water treatment processes.
• Assist supervisor to devise maintenance plan and budget, procure essential spares, monitor spares inventory and utilisation of expenditures
• Respond to equipment abnormalities and carry out SOP when required.
• Utilise enterprise systems such as the Asset Management System for procurement, contract management, asset and inventory management
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability
• Manage and implement maintenance contracts to ensure works performed by contractors are executed according to objectives and within budget

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent
• Able to work independently and a good team player
• Able to respond to urgent situations outside normal working hours
• Comfortable with working in used water environment and physically able to perform site works
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as partial discharge and its basic application for equipment maintenance will be an advantage
