Singapore Public Service is seeking an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) for the Changi Water Reclamation Plant. The role involves maintaining used water treatment equipment and implementing maintenance strategies to ensure safe discharge and high-quality NEWater output.

You will work with engineers and contractors to perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance, and may assist in procuring essential spares and managing inventories.

Qualificações

• Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Able to work independently and a good team player.
• Able to respond to urgent situations outside normal working hours.
• Comfortable with working in used water environment and physically able to perform site works.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration monitoring and its basic application for equipment maintenance will be an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance works safely for M&E and auxiliary equipment in used water treatment processes.
• Assist supervisor to procure essential spares, monitor spares inventory and utilization of expenditures.
• Respond to equipment abnormalities and carry out SOP when required.
• Utilize enterprise systems for procurement, contract management, asset and inventory management.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability.

[What the role is]

As an AssistantEngineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) at Changi Water Reclamation Plant, you will play a vital role in treating used water to produce high-quality NEWater and ensure safe discharge to the sea. Working alongside a team of engineers and contractors, you will implement various maintenance strategies to keep critical water treatment equipment running safely and efficiently.
