Job summary

sggovterp at Changi Water Reclamation Plant is seeking an Engineer/Executive Engineer/Senior Engineer (ICA) to maintain and optimise instrumentation, control and automation systems. You will work with engineers and contractors to implement maintenance programmes, support data integration with SCADA and analytics platforms, and drive continuous improvement for safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Engineering (Electrical/ Electronic) or equivalent.
• Willing to work independently and within a team.
• Able to respond to urgent situations outside normal hours.
• Comfortable with site work in a used water environment.
• Familiar with field instrumentations and their applications in water treatment processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on M&E and auxiliary equipment safely.
• Assist in maintenance planning, budgeting, and spare parts procurement.
• Respond to equipment abnormalities and execute SOPs as required.
• Utilize Asset Management System for procurement, contract, asset and inventory management.
• Support integration of instrumentation data with SCADA, data historians, and analytics platforms.
• Contribute to continuous improvement for safety, efficiency and reliability.
• Manage maintenance contracts to ensure contractor work meets objectives and budget.

What the role is

As an Engineer/Executive Engineer/Senior Engineer (Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA)) at Changi Water Reclamation Plant, you will play a vital role in treating used water to produce high-quality NEWater and ensure safe discharge to the sea. Working alongside a team of engineers and contractors, you will implement various maintenance strategies to keep critical water treatment equipment running safely and efficiently. We are looking for motivated individuals to join us. Your main responsibilities are:

What you will be working on

• Work with engineers and contractors to perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance works safely for M&E and auxiliary equipment in used water treatment processes.
• Assist supervisor to devise maintenance plan and budget, procure essential spares, monitor spares inventory and utilisation of expenditures
• Respond to equipment abnormalities and carry out SOP when required.
• Utilise enterprise systems such as the Asset Management System for procurement, contract management, asset and inventory management
• Support integration of instrumentation data with SCADA, data historians, and analytics platforms
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability
• Manage and implement maintenance contracts to ensure works performed by contractors are executed according to objectives and within budget
