Job summary

The PUB Public Utilities Board in Singapore invites applications for an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Shift Operations) at Changi Water Reclamation Plant. This role supports the Shift Leader in monitoring and controlling plant processes and safe operation of M&E and auxiliary equipment.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Engineering (Electrical preferred), can work independently and as part of a team, and is comfortable with the used water environment and site work.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shift Leader to monitor and control plant processes and operate M&E and auxiliary equipment safely.
• Record process readings and site checks; troubleshoot minor equipment failures.
• Attend alarms and maintain operations logbooks; report faults daily.
• Carry out sampling and testing of process parameters for quality output.
• Perform regular site checks on equipment and plant operating conditions.
• Collaborate with team and perform other duties as assigned.

[What the role is]As an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Shift Operations) at Changi Water Reclamation Plant, you will play a vital role in treating used water to produce high-quality NEWater and ensure safe discharge to the sea. We are looking for motivated individuals to join us. Your main responsibilities are:[What you will be working on]Assist the Shift Leader to monitor and control plant processes and to operate M&E and auxiliary equipment safelyRespond to abnormalities and carry out SOP when required.Record process and equipment operating readings, perform site checks and troubleshoot minor equipment failures.Carry out site checks of equipment and plant operating conditions regularly and take down relevant operating records.Carry out sampling and testing of specific process parameters to ensure compliance to desired quality output.Record all events that occurred during the shift duty in the operations logbook.Report all equipment breakdown that occurred during the shift in the daily fault notification file.Check equipment and plant operating conditions regularly and take down relevant operating records.Attend to alarms detected within the Plant.Any other duties assigned.[What we are looking for]Diploma in Engineering (Electrical preferred)Able to work independently and a good team playerComfortable with working in used water environment and physically able to perform site worksWork LocationChangi Water Reclamation Plant
