Job summary

PUB, The National Water Agency, is seeking an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) for the Changi Water Reclamation Plant. You will support maintenance strategies to keep critical water treatment equipment running safely and efficiently.

Work with engineers and contractors to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the plant.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Able to work independently and a good team player.
• Able to respond to urgent situations outside normal working hours.
• Comfortable with working in used water environment and physically able to perform site works.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration monitoring and its basic application for equipment maintenance will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance works on M&E and auxiliary equipment in used water treatment processes.
• Assist supervisor to procure essential spares, monitor spares inventory and utilization of expenditures.
• Respond to equipment abnormalities and carry out SOP when required.
• Utilise Asset Management System for procurement, contract management, asset and inventory management.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability.
