Job summary

A marine engineering company in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional with at least 10 years of mechanical equipment engineering expertise within the oil & gas industry. The role involves overseeing engineering activities, ensuring compliance with design standards, and collaborating with team members to resolve design issues. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in marine or mechanical engineering and experience with ANSYS, CAESAR II, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years in mechanical equipment engineering work within the oil & gas industry.
  • At least 5 years specifically in offshore oil & gas processing projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To develop Basis of Design and ensuring compliancewith project design philosophies, standards, procedures, and specifications. Reverseeingall mechanical/marine engineering activities,prepare for and participate in HAZID/HAZOP, review of 3-D model, review/check of Engineering Subcontractors engineering deliverables, manage/control technical queries, interfaceinformation, RFQ (Request for Quotation) package preparation, Technical and Commercial evaluations of Vendor’s quotations, etc.
Knowledge of offshore and marine codes, API,ASME, IMO, OCIMF, international regulations, industry best design practices and ClassRules/Guidelines. Knowledge of technical bid proposal assessment of equipment suppliers and providing recommendation for procurement. Collaborate with other team members specifically with the Client team members in resolving mechanical equipment design issues, interfacing with the Client/Class as needed.

Other works as assigned by Project Engineering Manager//General Manager, Engineering based on person’s forte.

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor’s/master's degree in marine/mechanical engineering.

Experience Requirement

Minimum 10 Years in mechanical equipment engineering work within the oil & gas industry especially for F(P)SO orfloating installations. At least 5 years of this experience should be specifically in offshore oil & gasprocessing projects, including work on F(P)SO.

Software Experience in ANSYS Workbench/CAESAR II//SOLIDWORKS/AutoCAD/ VB-Script/Microsoft Office is required.
