A consulting services company in Singapore is seeking a Project Manager to lead Out-of-Box Failure (OOBF) and cost-down initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of project management experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Responsibilities include managing project schedules and budgets, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with client requirements. The Project Manager will lead Out-of-Box Failure (OOBF) and cost-down initiatives at the Singapore manufacturing site. This role is responsible for driving cross‑functional execution, ensuring on‑time delivery, and maintaining strong alignment with global and client stakeholders.
1. Planning & Execution
Develop and manage integrated project plans for OOBF resolution and cost‑down initiatives.
Own project schedules, budgets, and resource planning.
Monitor progress and manage risks, issues, and change control effectively.
2. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Systems, Mechanical (ME), Electrical (EE), Manufacturing, and Quality teams to implement technical and process solutions.
Identify cost‑down opportunities across design, manufacturing, and supply chain.
Track and report cost savings against targets.
3. Stakeholder Management
Serve as the single point of contact for the client.
Prepare executive‑level updates, dashboards, and presentation materials.
Facilitate governance meetings and project reviews.
Ensure clear, transparent, and timely communication with all stakeholders.
4. Compliance & Financial Management
Ensure compliance with client Quality Management Systems (QMS) and safety requirements.
Track budget utilization and burn rate.
Support rate card management and contracting‑related processes.
Required:
7–10 years of proven project management experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
Preferred:
Exposure to Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering domains.
Experience with supplier cost‑down, DFM/DFA, and value engineering initiatives.
Familiarity with regulated environments such as ISO 13485 and FDA QSR.
Background in RCA, CAPA, and structured cost‑down delivery.
