Job Scope

• Plan and control the execution of the project. Prepares the manpower, machinery and materials requirement on site. Confirm the duration of each critical activity and construction programme.
• Regulate current activities with regard to work methods, technical solutions, resources input and other operational details.
• Delegate duties to respective site personnel such as deputies, project engineers, foreman, safety officer, quantity surveyor and site clerk.
• Co‑ordinate matters pertaining to site progress, manpower and machinery utilisation, mobilisation schedule, site disputes, planning of site facilities, etc.
• Communicate and maintain public relations with relevant parties like Client’s representative, local authorities, communities and the general public.
• Prepare or compile site progress reports for the purpose of subcontractors progress, monitoring project activities and propose corrective actions.
• Feedback of project performance to the MD & Sales Manager as & when require.
• Arrange for the execution of variation works such as additions and modifications.
• Analyse the cause and effects of actual and expected deviations from the current project programme.
• Control the use of site resources and overall project cost on site.
• Confirm Client’s instructions on variation work and decide on the cost and time implications.
• Evaluate performance of the subcontractors.
• Ensure all site activities comply with the authority/statutory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in construction.
• Must have Certificate in Construction Safety Course for Project Manager.
• Diploma / Degree in Civil Engrg or equivalent.
• Skills in Microsoft office, Microsoft Project, Autocad etc.
