Job summary

Venture International Pte. Ltd. in Singapore HQ Ang Mo Kio is seeking a Product Engineer, R&D to own end-to-end engineering of electro‑mechanical products from NPI to mass production.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Customer teams to ensure performance, manufacturability, cost and reliability across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of NPI experience in electromechanical products, preferably life sciences.
• Familiar with verification/validation of design or component changes of PCBA/EE or ME parts and modules.
• Experience in failure analysis to trace root causes and resolve issues.
• Familiar with PCBA design and design tools (Altium Designer or SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of quality tools and techniques (Control charts, Pareto, cause-and-effect, 8D).
• Proficient in DFx/DFMEA/DOE and design documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product engineering for electro‑mechanical products across NPI, ramp‑up, mass production and sustaining phases.
• Drive cross functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and customers to improve product performance.
• Perform failure analysis to trace root causes and implement permanent solutions.
• Plan and coordinate actions to evaluate and qualify engineering changes prior to mass production.
• Plan and work with R&D to execute prototype builds and engineering evaluation builds.
• Study and improve product performance, cost and quality through design/process improvements.
• Provide hardware-related support to resolve production tester issues and field issues.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams after production release.

AsaProductEngineer,R&D,youwill:

Ownend-to-endproductengineeringresponsibilitiesforelectro-mechanicalproductsacrossNPI,ramp-up,massproduction,andsustainingphases,ensuringproductperformance,manufacturability,cost,quality,andreliabilitymeetorganizationalandcustomerexpectations.

Drivecross functionalcollaborationwithManufacturing,Quality,SupplyChain,andCustomerstocontinuouslyimproveproductperformancethroughoutitslifecycle.

• Performfailureanalysistotracetherootcauseofthefailure,troubleshootHWrelatedproductissuesanddrivetoimplementpermanentsolutionstoimproveproductionyieldandqualityofthemanufactured/shippedproducts.
• PerformDesignAnalysiswithDFX,DFMEAetctoidentifydesignrelatedrootcauses.
• BOMpreparation/update,Create/updateEngineeringdocumentationsincludingchangestoSchematics/Layout,orMechanicalCADand2Ddrawingasnecessary.
• Plan,co-ordinateandleadtoimplementactionsrequiredtoevaluateandqualifyengineeringchangestoproductormanufacturingprocessespriortoimplementationinmassproduction,whichincludesproposalofQualification/Validationplanandexecution.
• PlanandworkwithR&DteamstoexecutePrototypebuildsorEngineeringEvaluationbuildstovalidateengineeringchangesatproductionline.
• Studyandimproveproductperformance(costandquality)throughcontinuousdesignandprocessimprovements.
• ProductownerresponsibleforperformanceacrosslifecycleincarryingoutRootCauseAnalysisandresolutionofrecurringHWorPCBAqualityorfieldissues.
• ProvideHWrelatedsupporttoresolveProductionTesterissues.
• Collaboratewithdesignersandendcustomerstoaddressfieldrelatedissues.
• ProposevalueengineeringopportunitytoclientsandimproveproductmarginYoY.

NPISupport(atPilotPhase)

• ReviewofProductDesignHandoverdocumentsforTestCoverageofallfunctionalities.
• ReviewofProcessCapabilitytoensuredesignedfunctionaltestspecificationscanachieveYieldtargets.
• ReviewofOpenProductIssues,containmentactionsandPlanofactiontoresolvethempermanently.
• Leadtechnicalcommunicationwithclientsandinternalteamafterproductionreleased.
• CoordinateEOLcomponentsandpartsqualificationandproductvalidationafterproductionreleased.

Requirements
