Job summary

Venture Corporation Limited in Singapore invites applications for an Engineer, Test to support NPI and Sustaining activities at the Marsiling site. The role focuses on developing and validating test methods for life sciences instruments and electronic products.

You will liaise with R&D/NPI and customers, generate test instructions, and train operators while maintaining test software and hardware. A degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and 2+ years EMS testing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Test Engineer in EMS.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with R&D/NPI and customers during NPI to transfer products to Mass Production.
• Support test/tester (HW/SW) development at NPI stage.
• Evaluate test coverage to meet Functional Specifications.
• Generate Test Instructions and train Test Operators.
• Review Tester Buy-Off documents for Mass Production handover.
• Assist in Prototype builds and Pilot Builds; feed back to NPI for yield improvement.
• Provide PFMEA feedback on Tester/Test Instructions.

We’re looking to add an Engineer, Test in Singapore. The position is based in our GES site at Marsiling.

As an Engineer, Test, you will:

NPI Roles:

• Liaise with R&D/NPI and customer during NPI stage to roll out activities for Product Transfer to Mass Production
• Support test/tester (HW/SW) development at NPI stage.
• Evaluate test coverage able to cover all Functional (/Product) Specifications
• Perform test/tester Validation of New Testers
• Generate Test Instructions and train Test Operators
• Review Tester Buy-Off documents for acceptance to Mass Production
• Assist in Prototype builds, Engineering builds/ Pilot Builds and channel the necessary feedback to the NPI team to resolve any Test/Tester (SW/HW) issues impacting the Production Yield /Output, before Mass Production
• Provide PFMEA feedback on Tester /Test Instructions to resolve before Mass Production

SustainingRoles:

• Maintain Test Instructions (WI) and Test SW/FW up-to date
• Support and resolve any Test/Tester Issues (HW or SW) at Production Line
• Perform First Level investigation on Product Failures to address any EE or Test/Tester related issues
• Support Root Cause Analysis of Product/Test failures with ME and CPE
• Support Tester Calibration and Maintenance program
• Perform Tester Validation whenever changes are made to Test SW/HW.
• Provide training to Test Operators
• Prepare monthly Test/Tester Performance reports
• Initiate and work on Continuous Improvement opportunity: First Pass Yield or Quality improvement or Cycle Time reduction

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Test Engineer in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS)
• EE component and circuitry knowledge, EE test and measurement know-how in using various test equipment for troubleshooting EE issues (DMM, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer & etc)
• Knowledge of mechanical measurements such as motion accuracy, force, temperature, vibrations, and pneumatics.
• Able to front customer and supplier on Test/Tester HW /SW related (technical) issues
• Possess Strong analytical skill, able to systematically troubleshoot complex life sciences instruments to resolve issues related to multiple engineering field
