Job summary

Venture Corporation Limited in Singapore invites an Engineer, R&D (Mechanical) to join our HQ in Ang Mo Kio. You will execute conceptual and detailed designs for mechanical components and electro-mechanical subsystems, driving performance, timeline and cost targets.

The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Mechatronics, 3–5 years in R&D, and proficiency in SolidWorks with GD&T knowledge. Occasional travel and close collaboration with manufacturing and suppliers are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics.
• 3-5 years of experience in R&D and new product development.
• Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
• Knowledge in Part Manufacturing technologies such as Injection Molding, Die-Casting, Precision Machining, surface coating/finishing and Inspection methods.
• Good knowledge and experience in product design, designing of robust electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience in designing for plastic molding, Sheet metal stamping, machining and extrusion.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.
• Proficiency in simulation tools, mechanical FEA and programming skills (e.g., Python) would be an added advantage.
• Experience in lab automation equipment, such as motion control, fluidic pumps, and valves or packaging design is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical product compliance standards such as ISO13485 would be advantageous.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-driven team player who is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for occasional overseas travel.
• Independently able to perform DFMEA, DOE, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Report preparation etc.
• Efficient in oral and written communication, and preparation of presentation slides/materials.

Responsibilities

• Execute both conceptual and detailed engineering designs for mechanical components, electro-mechanical subsystems, transmission system, and fluidic/pneumatic mechanisms.
• Perform rigorous structural, thermal management, fluidic, and FMEA to validate, optimize, and align designs with performance, timeline and cost targets.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute fabrication, assembly, and engineering evaluation builds to validate prototypes.
• Lead DFSS/DFMA initiatives to streamline production and reduce costs.
• Author technical specifications, requirements, and validation plans while managing BOM and 2D/3D drawings.
• Lead technical discussions and present innovative design solutions to customers; provide expert technical support.
• Collaborate with internal manufacturing teams and external suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Act as liaison for clients, providing updates on issues and design changes for approvals.
• Assist leadership in generating technology roadmaps aligned with business expectations and market trends.
• Execute additional duties as required to support operations.

AsanEngineer,R&D(Mechanical),youwill:
