Job summary

A recruitment agency based in Singapore is seeking a Project Manager with a focus on product development. Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and coordinate development and launch of new products & line extension projects.
  • Work closely with internal (Sales, Operations, Quality and Research) and external (Customer’s & vendor’s) teams to ensure products align with customer requirements.
  • Establish & manage project schedules and timelines, cost estimates of product & project. Prepare budget plans for management approval.
  • Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure smooth product handoffs and transitions into production. Work with process Engineering & operation team to develop process flow and operational needs, setting up product lines and capacity review.
  • Develop and oversee prototype sample builds & validate design concepts. Develop and coordinate test requirements and validations with QA team, internal & external analytical labs as required.
  • Create drawings, specifications, test plan, bills of materials and other engineering documentation.
  • Assist in developing new suppliers, qualifications of materials and material planning for launch of new products.
  • Recommend and implement product improvements to enhance performance, reduce costs, and productivity. Lead continuous improvement projects as assigned.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Successfully manage multiple projects with minimum supervision.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in product development & Project management with cross-functional teams.
  • Data driven & ability to work under tight deadlines. Strong problem solving & analytical skills and technical reporting skills.
  • Ability to learn new technology, processes, and systems quickly.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with industry-specific regulatory standards and certifications.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project & Solid works.
  • BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge & Experience of water filtration systems / industry- an added advantage.
