Job summary

TRIDENT RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced insurance leader to own the group's global insurance programme, including property, business interruption, cargo, liability and cyber for sites across multiple regions.

You will manage renewals, tenders, brokers and insurers, coordinate claims, align financing with asset deployment, and report to the Procurement Director in a hands-on, individual-contributor role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Business or related field.
• ACII, CPCU or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• 5+ years in corporate insurance, either in-house or as broker.

Job description

Role Summary

Our client is a Data Centre Operator across the United States, Europe and Asia. Its asset base has grown quickly: new sites, large GPU and server fleets, and equipment moving across borders. This role owns how those assets are insured and, where relevant, how the hardware is financed. You will run the group’s global insurance programme end to end: property and all-risk, business interruption, cargo and transit, liability and cyber. You will lead the renewals and tenders, manage the brokers and insurers, coordinate claims, and put the governance in place so that insurance and financing are bought the same way every time. The seat sits in Procurement, works closely with Finance, Legal, Risk and Data Centre Operations, and reports to the Procurement Director. It is a hands-on individual-contributor role.

Responsibilities

• Own the placement, renewal and day-to-day management of the group's insurance programme across all sites and lines of cover.
• Run competitive tenders for insurance programmes and financing facilities: define the requirement, evaluate proposals, negotiate terms and see the contract through to signature.
• Manage the broker, underwriter, bank and lessor relationships to secure the right cover at the right premium and the right financing at the right rate.
• Structure and execute hardware financing where it helps: equipment leasing, receivables or inventory financing, letters of credit and similar arrangements, with banks and financing partners.
• Build and maintain the procurement framework for these categories: policies, approval workflows, vendor panels and controls.
• Coordinate claims with brokers and insurers when assets are lost, damaged or otherwise affected.
• Track the insurance and financing markets and bring forward opportunities to reduce cost or risk.
• Work with Finance, Legal, Risk and Operations so that cover and financing line up with the group's asset deployment plans and risk appetite.
• Report regularly to management on cover in place, premium spend, financing utilisation, vendor performance and savings.
• Keep the group compliant with regulatory, contractual and internal requirements for insurance and financing across the countries it operates in.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Business or a related field. ACII, CPCU or an equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• At least 5 years in corporate insurance, either buying cover in-house or placing it as a broker for large corporate clients.
• Direct, hands-on experience with property/all-risk and business interruption cover, and with cargo, liability and cyber lines.
• A track record of leading renewals, placements or tenders for programmes where the annual premium runs into the millions.
• Working relationships with brokers and insurers in Singapore. Regional or global market contacts are a plus.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage a multi-million-dollar programme independently.
• Comfortable working across Finance, Legal, Risk and Operations, and clear in writing and in conversation.
• Exposure to supply chain or trade finance instruments (leasing, factoring, letters of credit, structured financing) is welcome but not required. Data centre, cloud or technology infrastructure experience is a plus; the industry background is open.
