Qualifications

  • Strong numerical, analytical and data-validation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Premium Processing and Monthly Reporting: review and process insurance premium bookings and ensure timely monthly reports.
  • Invoicing and Receivables: prepare invoices, monitor receivables and reconcile items with stakeholders.
  • Financial Reporting and Data Analysis: maintain underwriting and financial reports and provide data for reviews.
  • Compliance and Audit Support: assist with audits, update procedures and ensure audit-readiness.
  • Product Governance and Client Onboarding: support governance reporting and onboarding of new clients in Singapore.

Job description

Our client, a leading global insurance organisation, is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Operations & Reporting Executive to support its warranty service programmes in Singapore.

This is an administrative, processing and analytical role involving premium bookings, invoicing, financial reporting, data validation and product governance. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across Singapore, the wider APAC region and the United States.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop or continue a career within the insurance industry while gaining exposure to insurance operations, regulatory requirements and international service programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Premium Processing and Monthly Reporting

  • Review and process insurance premium bookings accurately and within the required timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure monthly reports are received on time.
  • Review and validate submitted data for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
  • Investigate discrepancies and follow up with the relevant stakeholders for resolution.

Invoicing and Receivables

  • Prepare and issue invoices to business partners and clients.
  • Monitor and reconcile outstanding receivables and unallocated cash.
  • Work with Accounts Receivable teams and other stakeholders to resolve outstanding items.
  • Reconcile third-party administrator and service-provider invoices against sales data and agreed commercial terms.

Financial Reporting and Data Analysis

  • Maintain accurate underwriting and financial reports on a monthly basis.
  • Issue policies and maintain policy and rate registers.
  • Provide relevant data to underwriters for period-of-account and rating reviews.
  • Conduct ad hoc premium, booking, performance and sales trend analyses.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles by providing accurate data inputs for service programme products.
  • Identify trends, discrepancies and potential areas for process improvement.

Compliance and Audit Support

  • Ensure operational activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and other data-review exercises.
  • Maintain and regularly update operating procedures and process manuals.
  • Ensure supporting records and documentation are complete and audit-ready.

Product Governance and Client Onboarding

  • Support product governance reporting and documentation requirements in Singapore.
  • Assist with periodic product reviews and monitoring activities.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients in accordance with Singapore regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure all required information and documentation are completed.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Insurance or a related discipline.
