Job summary

Oneglobal Broking Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Manager, Construction Insurance to lead and manage CAR, EAR, and related construction insurance programmes for clients across the construction and engineering sectors. • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in construction insurance broking or underwriting.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Professional insurance qualifications (ANZIIF, ACII) will be an advantage.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Construction Insurance; to lead and manage the placement of Construction All Risks (CAR), Erection All Risks (EAR), and related insurance programmes for clients across the construction and engineering sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for client servicing, insurance programme design, market negotiations, and placement of complex construction risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of construction and engineering insurance clients.
• Design, structure, and place CAR, EAR, Third Party Liability, Delay in Start-Up (DSU), and related construction insurance programmes.
• Liaise with insurers and reinsurers to obtain competitive terms and coverage solutions.
• Review contracts, tender requirements, and project specifications to identify insurance requirements and risk exposures.
• Prepare insurance submissions, placement slips, policy comparisons, and renewal strategies.
• Negotiate policy terms, conditions, and premiums with insurers.
• Provide technical advice and support to clients on construction risk management and insurance matters.
• Assist in claims coordination and resolution with clients and insurers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurers, clients, contractors, consultants, and project owners.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Degree in Insurance, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in construction insurance broking or underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of CAR, EAR, liability, DSU, and related engineering insurance products.
• Experience handling large and complex construction projects would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and project risk allocation.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., ANZIIF, ACII or equivalent) will be an advantage.
