Job summary

YEW SENG HENG ENGINEERING PTE LTD is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage the full procurement cycle across construction projects in Singapore. You will work closely with site teams, project managers and suppliers to secure materials and ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong negotiation, vendor management and Excel-based reporting, with a focus on compliance and process discipline to optimise purchasing outcomes for multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in SCM, business, engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years purchasing experience in construction/ plumbing or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management and contract negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Manage full procurement cycle and handle all material purchases.
• Build relationships with reliable suppliers and explore new ones.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers for best value.
• Conduct price comparisons and stay updated on products and trends.
• Maintain supplier lists, price lists and procurement records.
• Monitor supplier performance and address delivery or quality issues.
• Ensure POs and RFQs are accurate and submitted on time.
• Coordinate with site teams and project managers to align material requests with project needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Job Description & Requirements:

• Manage full procurement cycle and handle all material purchases for the company.
• Find, evaluate, and build strong relationships with reliable suppliers, while continuously exploring new potential suppliers.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to get the best value.
• Conduct price comparisons regularly and keep up with new products, materials, and industry trends.
• Maintain and update supplier lists, material price lists, and all procurement records.
• Monitor supplier performance and solve any delivery or quality issues.
• Ensure all procurement documentation, including Purchase Orders and RFQs, are accurate and submitted on time.
• Work closely with site teams and project managers to ensure material requests align with project requirements and optimise ordering.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of purchasing experience in construction, plumbing, sanitary, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis for procurement tracking and reporting.
• Familiarity with sourcing suppliers online and conducting market research independently.
