WSG ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a procurement professional to manage tendering and supplier relations for construction projects. You will review documents, obtain quotations, prepare cost estimates, and support timely procurement across projects.
You will negotiate prices and terms, monitor deliveries, and maintain procurement records, working closely with QS and project teams to ensure budget compliance and successful project outcomes.
Responsible for managing the procurement and tendering process for construction projects, including sourcing suppliers and subcontractors, obtaining and evaluating quotations, preparing cost comparisons, negotiating prices and commercial terms, and ensuring timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project requirements.
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
Assist in preparing tender submissions and procurement cost estimates.
Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare quotation comparison sheets and evaluate commercial competitiveness.
Check quantities, specifications, inclusions, exclusions and validity of quotations.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative materials/suppliers.
Liaise with QS and Project Teams to clarify tender and costing requirements.
Source, evaluate and select suitable suppliers and subcontractors.
Issue RFQs and obtain competitive quotations.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and contractual conditions.
Subcontract agreements and procurement documentation.
Monitor material and equipment delivery according to project schedules.
Follow up with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
Develop and maintain a reliable supplier/subcontractor database.
Evaluate supplier performance, pricing, quality and delivery reliability.
Maintain good working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Negotiate and review supplier/subcontractor rates periodically.
Identify new suppliers and alternative sources to improve cost competitiveness.
Work closely with QS, Project Managers, Site Engineers and other departments.
Assist QS with subcontractor quotations and tender comparisons.
Provide procurement pricing and market information for tender preparation.
Coordinate with site team regarding material specifications and requirements.
Ensure procurement decisions are aligned with project budget and programme.
Maintain proper records of quotations, comparisons, POs and procurement documents.
Track procurement costs against approved budgets.
Verify supplier/subcontractor claims and supporting documents where required.
Assist in resolving pricing, delivery and commercial issues.
Prepare procurement reports and cost summaries for management.
