Job summary

MASSTRON PTE LTD is seeking a motivated Assistant Purchaser to support procurement activities. You will assist in sourcing materials and components, coordinate purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, and support the purchasing needs of our Production, Engineering and Sales teams.

This hands-on role offers a path toward Purchasing Executive or Buyer. Fresh graduates are welcome; a Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics or related discipline is required, with strong Excel and

Qualifications

• Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics or related discipline required.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; internship or work experience in purchasing/ procurement is a plus.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for materials and purchasing needs.
• Request and compare supplier quotations for purchasing decisions.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and monitor order status and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering and Sales to understand purchasing requirements.
• Monitor outstanding orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Follow up with suppliers on delivery issues, discrepancies, and quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information.
• Assist in monitoring supplier pricing and performance.
• Support purchasing procedures and documentation; perform related duties.
