Job summary

A leading packaging company in Singapore is looking for a Procurement Specialist to manage purchase orders, inventory, and supplier relations. The candidate should have at least 2 years of procurement experience, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently. A diploma or degree in purchasing is required. This role involves inventory management and negotiation with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing. Singaporean or Permanent Resident applicants will be prioritized.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in procurement.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate procurement activities.
  • Good command of English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Issue, send, and track purchase orders.
  • Liaise with store and suppliers to manage inventory.
  • Perform monthly stock takes and other assigned tasks.

Job description
(A) Key Functions and Responsibilities
  • 1Issuing, sending of PO via email and keep track of PO for procurement activities.
  • 2Liaising with store to monitor stock inventories required by Operations Unit is in place to avoidany potential material shortage
  • 3Liaising with plant for their requirements.
  • 4Maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory.
  • 5Liaising/correspondence with suppliers to schedule deliveries or to discuss shortages or missed deliveries.
  • 6Continuously sourcing of parts/materials as and when required.
  • 7Performing Goods received and updating of system.
  • 8Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other necessary data.
  • 9Co-ordinating with forwarder for preparing of documents/permit for incoming shipment clearance.
  • 10Continuously liaising with Sales and other departments for their new requirement of material/parts.
  • 11To negotiable and obtain best price quotes from suppliers based on various Purchase Requisition request within the company.
  • 12Deals with defective goods damaged goods as and when required.
  • 13Performing monthly stock take.
  • 14Any other ad hoc jobs assigned.
Supplementary Functions

Involve in others functional roles in the company – General Administration.

Skill/Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in procurement.
  • Management skill and ability.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Good communication skill.
  • Good command in English, both verbal and written.
  • Computer literate.
  • Singaporean or Permanent Resident only.
