AspenTech is seeking a Principal Solution Consultant to collaborate with sales teams, lead discovery sessions, and craft visionary solutions tailored to customer needs. Your deep industry knowledge and AspenTech portfolio will drive opportunities that deliver measurable business value.

In this customer-facing role you will position AspenTech solutions, develop messaging, and partner with account managers throughout the sales cycle, from discovery to deal execution, while traveling up to 35%

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in industrial software, services, solution consulting, presales, technical sales or related customer-facing technical roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred).
Proficiency in Advanced Process Control & Real Time Optimization (RTO) technologies, Industrial Data Platforms, and Historians, or equivalent competitor technologies.
Strong ability to bridge technology and business, articulating high-level technical solutions and their differentiated value.
Strong drive to convert opportunities into recognised value for customers, with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Lead consultative discovery sessions, craft visionary solutions, and design strategies tailored to customer needs.
Position AspenTech solutions effectively to customers and industry stakeholders.
Develop messaging and materials to position AspenTech solutions in the industry, with regional adaptations.
Partner with Sales Account Managers throughout the sales cycle, from discovery to deal execution.
