Job summary

Dynamic Human Capital Pte Ltd is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage end-to-end purchasing for a food distribution business with a focus on perishables. You will source suppliers, negotiate terms, monitor stock, and coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, and Logistics to ensure timely receipt and proper storage.

The role requires a Diploma or higher in a related field and at least 2 years in procurement or supply chain.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in supply chain, procurement, or related field.
• Experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
• Experience handling food products, especially perishables.
• Proficient Excel, able to analyze data and forecast.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA or ERP systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders and local purchases with accuracy and timeliness.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, terms, and delivery.
• Collaborate with Sales on demand forecasts and align purchasing plans.
• Liaise with Warehouse to confirm receipt and proper handling of perishables.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Inventory, and Logistics to monitor stock turnover.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate actions to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain purchasing records, contracts, and supplier documents.
• Prepare periodic reports (spend, POs, supplier status) for management.
• Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
