Job summary

AISEARCH PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a procurement professional to source materials, negotiate with suppliers, and manage purchase orders for perishable goods.

You will work with Sales and Production to review forecasts, plan ingredient purchases, monitor stock, ensure safety compliance, and report supplier performance to management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in supply chain, procurement, or related field.
• At least 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in food manufacturing or perishable goods.
• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems like SAP.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Sales and Production to review demand forecasts and plan ingredient purchases.
• Monitor stock turnover with warehouse and logistics teams to avoid overstock or shortages.
• Ensure raw materials meet food safety standards and regulatory guidelines (HACCP/ISO).
• Handle POs, DOs, and three-way matching; track and report supplier performance.

Job description

• Sourcing & Negotiation: Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and overseas suppliers to get the best prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Production & Demand Planning: Work closely with Sales and Production teams to review demand forecasts and plan ingredient purchases.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock turnover with warehouse and logistics teams to prevent overstocking, shortages, or expired perishable goods.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure raw materials adhere to food safety standards and regulations (such as HACCP or ISO guidelines).
• Order Processing: Handle purchase orders (POs), check delivery orders (DOs), and match invoices (three-way matching).
• Reporting: Prepare spending summaries, track outstanding orders, and report supplier performance to management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within a food manufacturing, FMCG, or perishable goods environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and enterprise software like SAP or ERP systems.
• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities to handle vendor issues and cross-functional teamwork.
