Job summary

OCBC Group is seeking a Solutions Architect specializing in Payments to lead end-to-end architectures for payment initiation, processing, settlement and reporting. You will steer modernization efforts, ensure security and resiliency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across enterprise IT and business units.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in technology architecture within banking, with hands-on experience in microservices, Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, and container platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technology solutioning or architecture roles, with banking/payments exposure.
• 3+ years hands-on in microservices, Java, Spring Boot, MQ/Kafka, containers (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Experience with domestic and cross-border payment rails, real-time/high-value payments, ISO 20022 & SWIFT.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for payment capabilities across initiation to reporting.
• Design payment solutions meeting regulatory, security, resiliency, and performance needs.
• Drive payment modernization, migration, and roadmaps with governance.
• Produce architecture artefacts: context diagrams, sequence flows, deployment views, ADRs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, guiding design, integration, and production issue resolution.
