Job summary

OCBC Singapore, a long‑standing bank, seeks a Technology Architecture professional to lead end‑to‑end payment architecture. You will design and implement innovative solutions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to transform how we deliver financial services.

The role requires 7+ years in technology solutioning, hands‑on microservices with Java/Spring Boot, MQ/Kafka, and container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift).

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technology solutioning, solution/ application architecture with banking payment exposure.
• At least 3 years hands‑on experience in microservices, Java, Spring Boot, MQ/Kafka, Kubernetes/OpenShift and databases.
• Experience with domestic and cross‑border payments, real‑time payments and ISO 20022.
• Strong communication, risk assessment and architecture governance skills.
• Ability to lead design from an architectural standpoint and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end solution architecture for payment capabilities across initiation, processing, clearing, settlement, exception management, reconciliation, notification, enquiry and reporting.
• Design payment solutions that meet business, regulatory, security, resiliency, scalability, performance, availability and operational requirements.
• Drive payment modernization and migration initiatives with roadmaps, cutover planning and data conversion.
• Produce architecture artefacts: context diagrams, component diagrams, sequences, patterns, deployment views and non‑functional requirements.
• Define designs using domain‑driven design, API‑first integration, event‑driven architecture and microservices granularity.
• Ensure 24x7 availability, high throughput, low latency, idempotency, message ordering and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, provide guidance, resolve architectural challenges and drive governance forums.
