Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS SERVICES PTE. LTD. is opening multiple entry points into Air Freight Import Operations with a global freight forwarding company, offering hands-on training and mentorship.

No prior freight forwarding experience is required, and you will learn shipment systems, import documentation, and customer coordination from the ground up. Based at Alps Avenue, this role is permanent or contract with potential for extension, on-site hours Mon-Fri with alternate Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant working experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
• Good attention to detail and strong communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Basic proficiency with MS Office and general computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end import shipments under guidance from experienced team members.
• Learn to process shipment data and update shipment status in operating systems.
• Support customer accounts by responding to inquiries and resolving day-to-day issues.

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 5:30pm | Alternate Sat, 8:30am - 12:30pm

Employment Type: Permanent, and Contract (3 / 6 months, with strong potential for extension or conversion to permanent based on performance)

About the Opportunity

We are opening multiple entry points into Air Freight Import Operations with a global freight forwarding company, structured as a hands‑on training pathway for candidates looking to build a career in logistics and freight forwarding.

No prior freight forwarding experience is required - full on‑the‑job training and mentorship will be provided by our operations team, covering shipment systems, import documentation, and customer coordination from the ground up.

What You'll Be Doing

• Coordinate end-to-end import shipments - from pre-alert to final delivery - under guidance from experienced team members
• Learn to process shipment data and manage shipment status updates through our operational systems
• Support customer accounts by responding to shipment inquiries and resolving day-to-day issues
• Assist with permit documentation, billing support, and operational reporting
• Build working knowledge of import customs processes, cargo handling, and industry compliance requirements
