Job summary

TCI Express Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a hands-on cargo operations professional to manage day-to-day airfreight export and import operations, coordinate with airlines, forwarders, and customs, and prepare shipping documents such as AWB and declarations.

You will monitor cargo movements, ensure on-time delivery, maintain proactive communication with customers and vendors, and drive improvements in air export processes while supporting marketing and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant working experience in airfreight or similar industry
• Solid understanding of airfreight documentation and customs clearance procedures
• Ability to work independently and manage time-sensitive shipments
• Team player with a proactive and customer-oriented approach

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day airfreight export and import operations
• Coordinate effectively with airlines, freight forwarders, transporters, and customs authorities
• Prepare and review shipping documents, including Air Waybills (AWB), export/import permits, and declarations
• Track and monitor cargo movements to ensure timely and accurate delivery
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers and vendors regarding shipment status
• Ensure full compliance with Dangerous Goods handling and airfreight regulatory requirements
• Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the shipping process
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our air export operations and processes
• Work closely with the Customer Service team to secure and manage shipment bookings
• Organize and schedule timely pickup of cargo from customers, ensuring smooth and efficient handling
• Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and evaluate competitors to identify growth opportunities
• Oversee brand management, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and communications
• Develop and deliver marketing collateral and client presentations
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including building strategic partnerships and driving business development initiatives
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations and management) to implement marketing and growth initiatives effectively
• Enhance marketing capabilities to improve customer engagement and retention

Requirements

• Solid understanding of airfreight documentation and customs clearance procedures
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in similar industry
• Knowledge of Freight Management systems is necessary.
• Ability to work independently and manage time-sensitive or urgent shipments
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• A team player with a proactive and customer-oriented approach
