Job summary

Techyard is seeking an Operations Assistant to support daily e-commerce activities, from receiving orders to packing shipments and updating listings. You will collaborate with couriers, vendors, and the team to keep orders accurate and on schedule.

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and organised Operations Assistant to support our day-to-day e-commerce operations. You will be involved throughout the order fulfilment process from receiving and processing orders, preparing shipments, coordinating with couriers and vendors, to keeping customers updated. You will also support stock management, product listings, and trade show activities when required.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor incoming orders across our online sales channels and follow each order through to delivery.
• Pick products from stock, verify order details, and pack items securely for shipment.
• Arrange shipments and collections with couriers.
• Track deliveries and follow up on delayed or failed deliveries.
• Update customers on order status and assist with basic enquiries and requests.
• Coordinate with the team on stock availability, backorders, and special requests.
• Maintain and update product listings, including pricing, stock levels, descriptions, photos, and promotions.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding product pricing, stock availability, and promotions.
• Maintain accurate order and inventory records in our internal systems.
• Assist with trade shows, events, and other operational activities when required.

About you

• Diploma, NITEC, or equivalent qualification.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• 1+ year of experience in operations, logistics, e-commerce, retail, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple orders and tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers, couriers, and vendors.
• Mandarin-speaking ability is an added advantage.
• Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, and online tools.
• Experience with Shopify or inventory management software is an advantage.
• Interest in PCs, computer hardware, and tech gadgets is a plus.
• Physically able to lift and pack parcels as required.
