Job summary

Recruitpedia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an Air Freight Capacity Planner to optimise cargo capacity and cost efficiency. Based in the Changi area, you will plan and coordinate with airline carriers to secure capacity and manage allocations, ensuring timely shipments.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of air freight operations experience, strong analytical and commercial skills, and good Excel proficiency. Working days are Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related.
• 1–3 years of air freight operations/ carrier coordination experience.
• Strong understanding of air freight operations and airline carrier management.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office applications.
• Good analytical and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and optimise cargo capacity to maximise ULD utilisation and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with airline carriers to secure capacity based on customer demand and forecasted volumes.
• Manage carrier allocations and BSAs to ensure adequate capacity.
• Negotiate ad-hoc rates and manage operational costs.
• Monitor shipment execution and provide status visibility.
• Identify and resolve operational issues with alternative routing.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, warehouse, procurement and carriers to ensure smooth shipments.
• Analyse demand trends and forecasting data to support capacity planning.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Maintain accurate planning and documentation to minimise operational risks.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, service levels and cost performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Our client is a global MNC in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, providing transportation services worldwide by road, air, sea and rail.
Working Days: Monday – Friday
Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Location: Changi area

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and optimise cargo capacity to maximise ULD utilisation and cost efficiency.

• Manage carrier allocations and Block Space Agreements (BSA) to ensure adequate capacity.
• Negotiate ad-hoc rates and manage operational costs effectively.
• Monitor shipment execution and ensure accurate shipment status visibility.
• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly, providing alternative routing or solutions when required.
• Work closely with Customer Service, warehouse, procurement and airline carriers to ensure smooth shipment operations.
• Analyse demand trends, forecasting data and market conditions to support capacity planning and operational decisions.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Maintain accurate planning and documentation to minimise operational risks and discrepancies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, service levels and cost performance.
• Perform other duties and job-related tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1–3 years of direct experience in air freight operations, carrier coordination or capacity planning.
• Strong understanding of air freight operations and airline carrier management.
• Knowledge of cargo capacity planning, load optimisation and freight rate structures.
• Good analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to balance cost, service and operational requirements.
• Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with operational systems.
• Basic negotiation skills and cost awareness.
