Job summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air and ocean freight shipments from booking to delivery.

• Liaise with customers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to synchronize shipment handling and logistics processes.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents for tracking and billing.
• Verify quotations, rates and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor costs and identify discrepancies and savings opportunities.
• Provide timely shipment updates and escalate issues as needed.
• Prepare logistics reports and raise issues with stakeholders.

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating air and ocean freight shipments, documentation, customer and vendor communication, and cost and operational control. The role works closely with the company's transport, fleet, warehouse and yard teams to ensure smooth and timely shipment execution.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air and ocean freight shipments from booking through to delivery to ensure timely execution
• Monitor shipment schedules, ETD/ETA, cargo status, and delivery arrangements to maintain operational flow
• Liaise with customers, shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, and vendors to resolve shipment issues and confirm arrangements
• Collaborate with internal transport, warehouse, and yard teams to synchronize shipment handling and logistics processes
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping, delivery, POD, and other logistics documents to support shipment tracking and billing
• Verify vendor quotations, rates, and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with agreements
• Monitor freight and operational costs, including additional charges, to identify discrepancies and cost-saving opportunities
• Provide timely shipment updates and follow up on operational issues to maintain customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
• Prepare logistics reports and elevate issues promptly to relevant stakeholders for resolution

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
• Experience in freight or logistics operations to support effective shipment coordination
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to manage shipment data and reporting
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills to facilitate collaboration across teams
• Strong attention to detail and cost awareness to ensure accuracy and optimize expenses
