Job summary

REERACOEN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an NPI Buyer to join our electronics manufacturing team in Singapore. You will support procurement for New Product Introduction projects from prototype to production transfer, coordinating with program, engineering, planning and sourcing teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of buying experience in EMS or high-mix manufacturing, strong English and Mandarin, and hands-on ERP/MRP knowledge to manage supplier quotes, lead times and material status.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Supply Chain/Buyer or relevant discipline.
• At least 3 years of buying experience in EMS/high-mix manufacturing.
• Experience in NPI projects and tight schedules.
• Hands-on with ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent English and Mandarin communication.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from prototype through to production transfer.
• Collaborate with program, engineering, material planning, sourcing and commodity teams.
• Source and purchase electronic, mechanical, and other manufacturing components while obtaining quotations and negotiating pricing.
• Expedite materials and maintain supplier follow-ups to meet NPI build schedules.
• Identify material shortages and mitigate risks for long-lead-time components.
• Manage purchase orders, monitor delivery commitments, and track supplier performance.
• Facilitate transition of materials from NPI to mass production and maintain ERP data.

Our client is a well-established multinational company in the electronics manufacturing sector, renowned for delivering high-quality solutions to global clients. They are currently seeking an NPI Buyer to join their esteemed organisation.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from the initial prototype and build stages through to production transfer.
• Collaborate with program, engineering, material planning, sourcing, and commodity teams to manage NPI material requirements and project schedules.
• Source and purchase electronic, mechanical, and other manufacturing components while obtaining competitive quotations and negotiating pricing, lead times, and commercial terms.
• Expedite materials and maintain close supplier follow-ups to ensure NPI build schedules are met.
• Proactively identify material shortages, supply risks, and long-lead-time components, driving effective mitigation actions.
• Manage purchase orders, monitor delivery commitments, and track supplier performance.
• Facilitate the transition of materials and purchasing activities from NPI to mass production while maintaining accurate data within the ERP system.

Requirements & Preferences

• Diploma in Supply Chain/Buyer or relevant discipline
• At least 3 years of experience as a buyer / full spectrum of purchasing in an EMS environment for PCBA, box-build, and wireharness, or in a high-mix / low-volume and fast-changing manufacturing environment
• Experience in NPI projects, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight NPI schedules.
• Sound hands-on and working knowledge in ERP/MRP systems
• Excellent communication in English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin stakeholders
• Strong supplier negotiation, expediting and material management skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Program, Engineering, Planning and Supply Chain teams.
• Ability to join on short notice
