A well-established MNC in freight forwarding located at Harbourfront, Singapore, seeks a candidate to manage heavylift operations and support the Technical Manager. Job Scope
  • Support the Regional Heavylift / Technical Manager in managing day-to-day activities of the Operations and Project Teams involving heavy lift, oversized, and high-value cargo, in accordance with company safety standards and procedures.
  • Attend and supervise daily site operations, including coordination and inspection meetings when required.
  • Guide the inter-functional teams to steer in the heavylift and technical aspects in business development, project management, engineering, planning and control.
  • Ensure company’s HSE, Technical and Operational standards are followed for the works contracted.
  • Develop process driven procedures and SOPs in optimizing deployment, scheduling and execution in areas of heavylift and technical.
  • Design and provide lifting plans, transportation plans, stowage plans, cargo securing plans and any other required CAD drawings as per project requirements.
  • Liaise and coordinate effectively with client representatives, marine warranty surveyors, port authorities, and subcontractors for technical matters.
  • Issue, review and verify engineering calculations and Method of Statements, Risk assessments.
  • Conduct route and site surveys and feasibility studies.
  • Perform any other secondary duties / tasks which may be assigned.
  • Overseas business travel as and when required.
Requirement
  • Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Structural / Marine Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • 2 – 4 years of working experience in similar role in international logistics industry.
  • Possess strong understanding & experience on IMO guidelines, MWS guidelines, class rules and standard industrial practices related to heavy-lift and marine transportation engineering.
