Responsibilities
- Develop M&E system designs (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, power distribution, etc.).
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants.
- Conduct feasibility studies
- Manage the implementation of M&E systems during construction.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and site teams.
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet design specs and standards.and cost estimates.
- Supervise M&E works on-site to ensure proper installation.
- Perform inspections and testing of systems (e.g., electrical wiring, ventilation).
- Identify and resolve technical or coordination issues on-site.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and international standards.
- Review risk assessments and method statements.
- Implement safety procedures related to mechanical and electrical works.
- Oversee commissioning processes for M&E systems.
- Verify that systems operate as intended before handover.
- Troubleshoot and rectify faults found during testing.
- Provide input into facility management and maintenance plans.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving M&E issues in existing buildings.
- Recommend system upgrades or energy-efficient solutions.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and progress reports.
- Prepare as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals.
- Attend coordination meetings and provide technical input.
