We are seeking a highly analytical and independent Marketing & Communications Strategist to lead and manage the company’s entire marketing and communications function.
This role is designed as a specialist individual contributor position within a lean organisation. The successful candidate will work independently without a supporting marketing team and will be fully accountable for the formulation, execution, measurement, and continuous improvement of all marketing and communications initiatives.
Given the nature of the business, which operates at the intersection of banking, financial technology, and product consulting, the role requires a candidate with strong academic training in marketing combined with prior experience in a structured consulting or analyst environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own the end-to-end marketing and communications strategy aligned with business objectives, product roadmap, and growth priorities
- Translate complex banking, financial technology, and product capabilities into clear and compelling market narratives for different customer segments
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, customer segmentation, and positioning studies to inform strategic marketing decisions
- Design and execute go-to-market strategies for products and services, including value propositions, messaging frameworks, and campaign plans
- Produce consulting-grade marketing and communication materials, including product narratives, presentations, pitch decks, and strategic content
- Independently manage all corporate social media platforms, including content planning, drafting, publishing, monitoring, and optimisation
- Develop and maintain content calendars aligned with product launches, industry developments, and brand objectives
- Define and track marketing performance indicators including engagement metrics, funnel indicators, and campaign effectiveness
- Analyse performance data and prepare structured reports and recommendations for senior management
- Manage external vendors or service providers when required, including designers or content specialists
- Execute all marketing and communications activities independently, without reliance on an internal marketing team
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline
- Strong academic grounding in marketing strategy, analytics, brand management, and consumer behaviour
Professional Experience
- 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience, including prior experience in a leading consulting, advisory, or professional services firm such as Deloitte, PwC, or equivalent, in an analyst or consulting role
- Exposure to structured problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and strategic analysis
- Experience in marketing, communications, product, or strategy-related roles is preferred
Skills and Competencies
- Strong ability to translate technical, banking, and product concepts into market-ready messaging
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to structure, clarity, and precision
- High analytical capability with experience using data to guide marketing decisions
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives independently
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and analytics tools
