People Profilers Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a SERVICE/SALES ENGINEER (MARINE) to drive business development, handle key accounts, and provide technical sales support for marine engines and propulsion systems.

You will analyse customer needs, prepare proposals, coordinate with engineering teams, and travel regionally to advance opportunities, requiring at least 2 years in the marine industry and a degree in marine or mechanical engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of marine industry experience.
• Experience in marine engines, propulsion systems, marine equipment, or heavy equipment sales is preferred.
• Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.

Responsabilités

• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the marine industry.
• Proactively engage potential customers, shipyards, vessel operators, and marine contractors.
• Expand market presence and develop new customer segments and territories.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve business objectives.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing maritime customers.
• Understand customer requirements and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Work closely with the sales team to develop strategic customer accounts.
• Analyse customer requirements, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Recommend appropriate marine engines, propulsion systems, and power solutions.
• Provide technical consultation and commercially viable solutions.
• Coordinate with engineering teams on customised technical requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, costings, and tender submissions.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with customer specifications.
• Conduct commercial negotiations and follow up on opportunities through to successful closure.
• Collaborate with engineering, service, and logistics teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Monitor market developments, industry trends, and competitor activities.
• Undertake regional business travel at least quarterly or as required.
