Qualifications

• Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.

• 1–5 years of experience in technical sales, service engineering or marine engineering is advantageous.
• Engine Cadets, Marine/Mechanical Engineers encouraged to transition to commercial roles.

• Driving license (Class 3) is an advantage.

Job description

We are looking for a driven Sales Manager / Sales Engineer to develop and grow the sales of marine engines, spare parts, and after-sales services across the marine, offshore, and oil & gas sectors. This role combines technical knowledge with business development, working closely with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, and offshore operators to deliver engine solutions and long‑term service support.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with a background in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engine Cadet experience who are keen to build a career in technical sales are encouraged to apply. Training and mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the marine, offshore, and oil & gas industries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, ship managers, fleet operators, shipyards, and offshore customers.
• Manage existing customer accounts while actively expanding the client portfolio.
• Achieve sales targets through the promotion of marine engines, spare parts, maintenance services, and overhaul solutions.

Account & Customer Management

• Conduct regular customer visits to vessels, shipyards, offshore facilities, and customer offices.
• Understand customer operational requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
• Act as the primary commercial contact for customer enquiries and provide timely follow-up throughout the sales cycle.
• Gather customer feedback and communicate market requirements to internal technical and service teams.

Commercial & Proposal Management

• Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial submissions for management approval.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service agreements with customers.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and activity reports.

Market Development

• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and upcoming marine and offshore projects to identify new opportunities.
• Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, technical seminars, and industry networking events.
• Deliver product presentations and technical briefings to prospective customers.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

• Candidates with 1-5 years of experience in technical sales, service engineering, marine engineering, or engine maintenance will have an advantage.

• Engine Cadets, Marine Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers looking to transition into a commercial role are encouraged to apply.
