Job summary

Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant marine industry experience.
• Diploma or degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Disciplined, analytical working style with attention to detail and persistence in sales goals.
• Evidence of sustained contribution in previous positions.
• Ability to explain engineering concepts clearly and connect product capabilities to customer needs.
• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills with senior decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business: Identify prospective customers, assess opportunities, and convert qualified leads into sales across marine markets.
• Grow customer accounts: Build lasting relationships with existing clients, understand their changing needs, and identify opportunities for further business.
• Provide technical guidance: Review specifications and operating requirements to recommend suitable marine engines and power systems.
• Prepare sales submissions: Produce detailed quotations, cost estimates, technical proposals, and tender responses with accurate specifications and pricing.
• Coordinate solution delivery: Partner with engineering colleagues to address specialised requirements and work with service and logistics teams to support smooth execution.
• Track market developments: Monitor customer demand, industry developments, and competitor activity to inform sales priorities.
• Support regional opportunities: Visit customers and prospects across the region at least quarterly, with additional travel when business needs require.
