Job summary

Direct Search Asia PTE. LTD. seeks a driven Sales Manager / Sales Engineer to grow sales of marine engines, spare parts and after‑sales services across marine, offshore and oil & gas sectors in Singapore. Fresh graduates are welcome; training and mentorship will be provided to build a career in technical sales.

The role blends technical know-how with business development, requiring strong communication and relationship-building skills to engage shipowners, managers, yards and operators.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marine, Mechanical or Electrical Eng.
• Fresh graduates welcome to apply.
• 1–5 years of experience in technical sales, service engineering or marine engineering is advantageous.
• Engine Cadets, Marine/Mechanical Engineers encouraged to transition to commercial roles.
• Basic understanding of marine diesel engines, propulsion systems or industrial diesel engines is preferred.
• Driving license (Class 3) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities in marine, offshore and oil & gas sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with shipowners, ship managers, fleet operators, shipyards and offshore customers.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial submissions; negotiate pricing and terms.
• Monitor industry trends and represent the company at exhibitions and events; deliver product presentations and technical briefings.
