We are excited to recruit a Manager for Estate Planning to be part of our dynamic Estate Management team! This role is responsible for current and future campus space planning. This position develops proposals, provides technical advisory services, develops models, conducts scenario planning, and develops evidence-based recommendations to ensure the University’s space infrastructure supports its long-term goals and mission. Current & Future Estate Planning

  • Lead regular campus-wide space utilisation studies and capture findings into a master simulation model for scenario planning.
  • Develop long-term campus master plans and spatial blueprints.
  • Development roadmaps to synchronise future infrastructure with the University’s growth targets.
  • Design conceptual frameworks for new campus development projects.
  • Draft clear space allocation standards and layout guidelines.
  • Develop estate plans to allow the University to achieve its long-term objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential property options, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment for potential future campus expansion.

Data Modelling & Scenario Analysis

  • Analyse usage data to identify long-term spatial trends and efficiency gaps.
  • Create evidence-based “what-if” simulations and models to forecast future space and facility requirements based on campus growth scenarios.
  • Develop technical reports on estate readiness and future capacity projections.
  • Map out data-driven recommendations for major capital projects.
  • Provide technical advisory based on complex spatial and utilisation data sets.
  • Research industry trends in modern campus design and smart estates.

Sourcing & Market Research

  • Benchmark the University’s estate profile against industry and JCUA.
  • Put in place new planning tools, software, and design methodologies for adoption.
  • Analyse property market movements for future site acquisition ideas.
  • Gather innovative concepts for sustainable and future-ready infrastructure.
  • Study new spatial concepts from other industries to apply to the campus.
  • Provide insights on emerging technology used in estate management.

Others

  • Prepare presentations for management meetings.
  • Organize departmental records to ensure information is easily accessible.
  • Support special projects and follow-up on instructions from the HOD.
Requirements
  • Degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Estate/Facilities Management or a related discipline
  • PMP certification will be an added advantage
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in property management or educational estate planning and management.
  • Conversant with facility leasing practices and building requirements
  • Well-versed in local leasing and building codes and regulations.
  • Demonstrated track record in end-to-end campus development, including facility leasing negotiations, securing leases and managing building projects to completion.
  • High level of initiative, pro-activeness and independence.
  • Excellent fact-finding, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver results in a dynamic environment
