Job summary

MINDEF is seeking a resource planning and finance professional to help plan and manage the DAIO budget and workplan across MINDEF/SAF. You will forecast requirements, analyse allocations, and monitor utilization to ensure priorities are funded and executed efficiently.

The role requires 2+ years in corporate planning or budgeting, strong analytical ability, and clear communication. Appointment will reflect experience and is based in Singapore.

Job description

What the role is:

You play a key role in planning and managing the resources required for the Defence Artificial Intelligence Office (DAIO) to drive AI transformation across the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

What you will be working on:

• Forecast and size DAIO's resource requirements and develop its budget and workplan
• Provide analysis to support the prioritisation and allocation of resources across competing requirements
• Monitor resource utilisation and performance, and recommend adjustments where required
• Oversee financial compliance, audit and corporate planning requirements
• Manage resources supporting DAIO-sponsored AI transformation and technology projects across MINDEF/SAFChallenge(s)
• Maintain a whole-of-portfolio view of evolving requirements to ensure limited resources are directed towards organisational priorities
• Working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing requirements in a fast-paced environment

What we are looking for:

• Education in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in corporate planning, financial management, resource planning, budgeting, or related areas is preferred
• Strong analytical and planning abilities
• Keen attention to detail
