Job summary

MINDEF in Singapore is seeking a product leader to develop AI and data analytics driven digital solutions for the Republic of Singapore Navy.

You will partner with operators and stakeholders to translate challenges into roadmaps, drive adoption, and deliver measurable improvements in safety and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Education in Mathematics, Statistics, Computing, Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Data Science and AI related work is preferred.
• Experience in implementing analytics or AI-enabled solutions is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of data analytics, statistical principles and ML concepts, including modelling and experimentation.
• Proficiency in Python or R.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or Qlik Sense.
• Ability to develop analytical models, dashboards and visualisations for operational decision-making.

What the role is:

You will lead the development of innovative digital products that leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics to enhance safety outcomes across the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). By partnering with operational users and stakeholders, you will transform complex challenges into practical solutions that improve decision-making, strengthen safety performance, and deliver measurable operational impact.

What we are looking for:

• Education in Mathematics, Statistics, Computing, Engineering or a related field is preferred
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence related work is preferred
• Experience in implementing analytics or AI-enabled solutions is advantageous
• Strong understanding of data analytics, statistical principles and machine learning concepts, including familiarity with statistical modelling, algorithms and experimentation methodologies
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
• Experience with business intelligence and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik Sense
• Ability to develop analytical models, dashboards and visualisations that support operational decision-making(Applicants with no experience may apply.)
