Manager, Clinical Affairs (Community Nursing) #HAL
Overview
You will develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and safety of the clinical services delivered and/or its partners to the community in the Western Region, including overseeing clinical risk management activities. You will also be responsible for the management of quality improvement training and programmes.
Job Responsibilities
- Clinical Governance Board and other sub-committees
- As lead secretariat, work with Medical Director to drive meaningful agendas and discussions
- Prepare necessary meeting materials and slides, and disseminate to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
- Ensure clinical governance structures (CGB and sub-committees such as Credentialing & Privileging Committee), including are well established and effective.
- Track and ensure that issues raised are followed up and addressed timely, and work plans are implemented per agreed milestones.
- Clinical Governance
- Evaluate implications of and ensure compliance/ alignment with national healthcare regulations and cluster clinical policies or standards.
- Coordinate activities related to licensing and serve as liaison person for any queries on licensing.
- Work with key process owners and stakeholders on the development and revision of clinical governance policies, procedure manuals and work instructions
- Support credentialing and privileging process for clinicians (e.g. Advanced Practice Nurses, Collaborative Prescribing Practitioners).
- Support in the design and formulation of clinical dashboard indicators for accountability and monitoring of quality and patient safety indicators
- Support cluster-level committees and initiatives for quality and patient safety
- Clinical risk management
- Work with stakeholders to identify and manage clinical risks as part of clinical risk register.
- Work with clinical leads to develop strategies for mitigation of clinical risks.
- Maintain system for reporting of incident reporting and management of medico-legal complaints.
- Facilitate and ensure timely escalation and reporting of clinical incidents and complaints.
- Support investigation of clinical incidents, complaints and/or any non-compliance to clinical care standards
- Clinical Service Review and Quality Management
- Review the quality and effectiveness of clinical services (e.g. through system audits and monitoring of clinical quality and safety indicators)
- Effectively manage and drive clinical quality improvement/ assurance training and programmes
- Identify opportunities and work with internal and external partners to drive continuous clinical quality improvement and standards in the community
- Any other task as assigned
Job Requirements
- Min Bachelor’s Degree in any field
- Min 6-8 years of relevant working experience, preferably with 1 years in a leadership position
- Experience in healthcare services and possess practical knowledge of clinical processes to identify areas for clinical quality improvement and mitigation of clinical risks.
- Experience in managing medical affairs, clinical governance and/or quality management portfolio.
