Responsibilities
Affiliate Enhancement
- Understand unit’s overall direction / strategy and support the management of the responsible group Affiliates to build their overall business strategy for mid / long term.
- Support the management of the responsible group Affiliates to conduct business development (BD) in alignment with unit’s overall strategy and jointly drive the BD initiatives together with the local management.
Affiliate Management
- Support the management of the responsible group Affiliates to create their financial budget / KPIs and monitor the budget / KPIs based on unit’s direction.
- Provide analytical support to the responsible group Affiliates and any other ad-hoc assignment given by his / her superiors.
Affiliate Administration
- Liaise well between the responsible group Affiliates and Portek HQ including any required internal approval processes.
- Communicate well with PIPL’s key organizations.
Report to Management
- Perform any other duties as and when assigned by Management
Requirements
- Min 5 years working experience in port industry and Min 3 years in port equipment engineering or port operation business
- At least Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering / Business studies / Maritime related studies
- Able to adapt to the challenges of working overseas
- Detail oriented and strong document management skills
- Strong analytical, strategic and conceptual thinking skills
- Familiarity with financial reporting and / or financial modelling will be an advantage
- English as primary working language, Chinese / basic Malay / basic French / basic Japanese would be advantageous to communicate and support with the group Affiliates (eg, Africa, Asia & Europe)
- Proficient in the use of MS office
MANAGER, LEGAL
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice for PIPL & Affiliates' management and assist on all legal matters including contract management, litigation and legal compliance management
- Draft, review and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements (eg. Operations & maintenance, sales and distribution, NDA, MOU, employment, JV agreements, etc.)
- Review of monthly litigation updates across PIPL and its Affiliates and formulating strategies for case management
- Make timely reports to PIPL’s stakeholders on all legal matters as and when necessary and assist in addressing queries by stakeholders
- Assist PIPL & Affiliates’ as well as PIPL stakeholders in formulating sound legal strategies to enhance business operations and mitigate risks
- Legal advisory and participation in merger and acquisition, JV and investment related deals
- Instruct and coordinate with external counsel where necessary
- Assist in developing and maintaining legal / regulatory compliance SOPPs
- Plan and conduct legal compliance training to management and employees
- Responsible for PIPL's data protection policies
- Document management for Legal correspondences and related works
- Perform other work instruction as directed by Head, Legal Division, Chief Compliance Officer and other C-Officers
Requirements
- Min 3 years’ experience practicing as a corporate legal counsel at MNC, preferably Japanese company
- Familiar with M&A transactions, compliance discipline, secretarial functions and general corporate matters
- At least Law (LLB) with Honours
- Admission to Singapore Bar will be an advantage
- Commercial background or experience in sea-port industry will be an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Independent and self-driven
- Some overseas travelling is expected
MANAGER, AFFILIATE MANAGEMENT

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE
Responsibilities
- Assist Department Head to perform commercial functions including tender mining for Engineering and Port Operations projects, maintenance of market database & contacts, produce monthly market survey reports, produce analytical reports of opportunities, preparation and submission of documents / proposal / contracts, project monitoring, postmortem analysis
- Assist Department Head in marketing activities to support BD activities such as marketing, advertising, engagement of proffessional service providers, online platforms, memberships etc
- Assist GBD GMs / Project IC to perform BD functions such as data collection, market analysis, due diligence, documentation etc
- Perform internal administrative roles such as preparation of monthly reports, coordinating roles and liaison duties
- Perform ad-hoc projects assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ working experience in a port / maritime industry
- Experience in Business Development or commercial role will be an added advantage
- Fresh Graduate can be considered
- At least Degree Holder, preferably in Engineering / Business studies / Maritime related studies

MANAGER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Responsibilities
- Support GMs to increase project pipelines (long and short) by means of marketing trips, market assessment, market exploration, opportunities mining, project identifications and project screening.
- Support GM as Project ICs to drive assigned projects towards milestones within timeline or conclusion by means of strategy formulating and implementation; project milestones achievements; perform studies, due diligence and analysis; consultant / contractor management, stakeholder management, business negotiation; business plan creation and evaluation; obtaining required internal approvals; project handover
- Assist Head of Department to perform commercial and marketing functions including tender mining for Engineering and Port Operations projects, maintenance of database, produce analytical reports, preparation of documents / proposal / contracts, project monitoring, post-mortem analysis, participate and manage marketing activities
- Responsible in internal administrative roles such as project presentations, project updates, coordinating roles and liaison duties

SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Responsibilities
- Assist to / Support to Head, ITA Department, Managers and Senior Software Engineers in software engineering domain of delivering IT applications
- Assist to / Support to Head, ITA Department, Managers and Senior Software Engineers in developing and improving IT related SOPP / policies, IT Strategy and in updating and maintaining IT related information / data
- Participate in IT application SDLC implementation, coding, operations and maintenance
- Participate in IT application projects using AGILE methodology for software engineering implementation and execution
- Manage any other IT related tasks assigned by Head, ITA Dept.
- To develop DX (Digital Transformation) projects by collaborating with DX Project Manager
- Work closely with vendor on Thingworx applications developer and partners to capture requirements and deliver IOT 4.0 solutions
- Focus on development of ThingWorx applications related IOT 4.0 projects
Requirements
- At least Bachelor’s degree / Diploma / ITE certificate in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Demonstrated experience in coding, executing jobs and tasks of TOS (Terminal Operating Systems) applications support and projects for maritime ports and terminals of up to 0.5million TEU size.
- Demonstrated experience in coding, executing jobs and tasks in IT applications to support business activities, aligned to a maturing business organization working on Global ERP platforms
- At least 2-6 years of experience in coding, executing jobs and tasks in IT projects,
- Demonstrated experience with AGILE methodology for SDLC; including prior experience in coding, executing jobs and tasks in projects involving 2 or more ERP and / or finance reporting and accounting applications
- Familiarity in SCADA systems, PLC & Controls, artificial intelligence, data analytics, sensors, cloud computing
- Experience in supporting a global and multi-cultural organization
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task coding, executing jobs and tasks with best practices in executing multiple concurrent IT projects
- Established experience in working in a matrix reporting structure
- 20 - 30% travel to other offices in the group and strategic service providers.
- English as primary working language, Chinese / basic Malay / basic French / basic Japanese would be advantageous
- Skill certifications with AGILE, Oracle JAVA, Oracle WEBLOGIC, Oracle DBA CP, OCA would be advantageous
SOFTWARE ENGINEER (2 Years Contract)
Responsibilities
- Involve in design, development, implementation and support of software applications
- Collaborate with front end and back end developers
- Perform testing, bugs fixing and enhancement on software applications
- Any other ad-hoc as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or 5 years hands on experience in application development
- At least 3 years hands on experience in application development
- Knowledge in Grails, Spring Framework, Struts, Java, Oracle SQL and Tomcat
SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing of container crane automation systems
- Perform software design, user interface design, coding, testing, site installation, troubleshooting, documentation and commissioning
- Communicate with sensors, programmable logic control (PLC) and computers
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science
- Good experience in Visual C++ / C# and SQL

SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Responsibilities
- Provide IT support to end end-users based locally and overseas on issues related to computers, IT peripherals, email, VPN etc
- Provide guidance and regular training to end-users
- Assist in the implementation and management of network infrastructures
- IT Operations includes Change management and Incident management
- Develop IT guidelines and procedures, including technical documentation
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of Group IT and supervisor
Requirements
- At least Diploma / Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Server & LAN, WAN administration
- Working knowledge of SAN storage and NAS
- Working knowledge of VMware, VCenter, ESXi and AZURE
- Good knowledge of desktop, laptop, smartphone and Office365 Email and Applications
- Good knowledge of IT and Mobile Phone MDM policies and security
- Good knowledge of IT operations
- Able to work after office hours or weekend if required
