Job summary

Champion Bolo Bun (CBB) seeks a Management Trainee to gain hands-on experience in daily outlet operations, customer service, inventory control and team supervision. The role offers structured on-the-job training under the Outlet Manager, with exposure to other F&B concepts within the Group.

The trainee will rotate through operations, inventory control, training and business support, building leadership and problem-solving skills for progression to management roles.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in F&B / Hospitality / Business Management preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in F&B/retail operations would be an advantage.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic numerical skills and familiarity with POS systems, Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Proactive, responsible and willing to learn all aspects of outlet operations.

Responsibilities

• Support daily outlet operations and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service per company standards.
• Manage walk-in, takeaway, pre-order and delivery platform orders.
• Handle cashiering, POS transactions and daily sales reconciliation.
• Prepare beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Perform outlet opening/closing with cash float management.
• Monitor inventory, stock counts and replenishment.
• Coordinate supplier orders and proper receiving/storage.
• Maintain FIFO and monitor product quality and waste.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations.

Job Description

We are seeking Management Trainee to join our team at Champion Bolo Bun (CBB).

This role offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in daily outlet operations, customer service, inventory management and team supervision while developing the skills required to progress into an outlet management position.

The successful candidate will undergo structured on-the-job training under the guidance of the Outlet Manager or Assistant Outlet Manager, with opportunities to gain exposure to other F&B concepts within the Group.

Key Responsibilities

1. Outlet Operations & Customer Service

• Support daily outlet operations to ensure efficient and smooth service delivery.

• Provide excellent customer service in accordance with company standards.

• Manage walk-in, takeaway, pre-order and delivery platform orders.

• Handle cashiering, POS transactions and daily sales reconciliation.

• Prepare coffee, tea and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.

• Perform outlet opening and closing duties, including cash float management and operational checklists.

2. Inventory, Quality Control & Food Safety

• Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock counts and assist with stock replenishment.

• Coordinate supplier orders and ensure proper receiving, checking and storage of goods.

• Maintain proper stock rotation using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.

• Monitor product quality, freshness, holding times and food wastage.

• Ensure compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations and company food safety standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, equipment and outlet premises.

3. Management Training & Development

• Assist in monitoring daily sales performance, operational costs and productivity targets.

• Gain exposure to food cost control, wastage reduction and manpower planning.

• Support staff rostering, onboarding, training and development.

• Learn outlet cash management, inventory control and sales reporting procedures.

• Assist in ensuring compliance with workplace safety, hygiene and company operational policies.

• Develop leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills through practical management training.

4. Business Support & Continuous Improvement

• Support new product launches, seasonal promotions and marketing initiatives.

• Participate in operational improvement projects and system implementation.

• Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
  

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Business Management or a related discipline is preferred.

• 1–2 years of experience in F&B or retail operations would be an advantage.

• Experience in kitchen or bakery operations is an added advantage.

• Possess a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to obtain one.

• Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Basic numerical skills and familiarity with POS systems, Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

• Proactive, responsible and willing to learn all aspects of outlet operations.

• Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
