A recruitment platform in Singapore is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience and be proficient in G-code programming and interpreting mechanical drawings. Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC Lathe machines, performing maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This role is on-site at Changi North Crescent.
Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines (e.g., Youji).
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T and technical documentation.
Load raw materials and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (Calipers, Micrometers, etc.).
Optimize and adjust machine settings and tool paths to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues during production.
Maintain detailed production records, logs and inspection reports.
Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance and the production team for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and shop floor best practices.
Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in CNC Lathe machining.
Experience in a precision manufacturing environment (e.g., semiconductor, medical, defence, etc.) is a plus.
Proficiency in G‑code programming and operation of CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360 or similar).
Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, GD&T and CAD/CAM files.
Familiar with tool selection, feed/speed calculations, and tool wear compensation.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Problem‑solving mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willing to work on‑site at Changi North Crescent.
