Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore seeks an Event Planner to coordinate pre-event, on-site, and post-event activities for average to large-scale corporate and social events. You will ensure a seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales, while recognizing opportunities to maximize revenue through upselling and enhancements.

Collaborating with Sales and property departments, you will deliver exceptional events and maintain high service standards throughout all phases.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2–3 years of relevant experience in upscale luxury hotels in event management or related area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; at least 1 year experience in event management or related area required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures events progress seamlessly by following established procedures and collaborating with staff.
• Greets customers during the event phase and hand-offs to the Event Operations team for execution.
• Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures billing accuracy and conducts bill reviews with clients prior to final bill.
• Manages group room blocks and meeting space for average to large-sized assigned groups.
• Identifies operational challenges and develops solutions with property staff and customers.
• Implements current trends in event management and event design.
• Acts as liaison between field salesperson and customer throughout the event process.
• Participates in customer site inspections and assists with the sales process as necessary.
• Performs other duties to meet business needs.
• Solicits feedback to identify areas for improvement.

Education
