As Deputy/Assistant Manager, Bus Technology, you will play a pivotal supporting role in transforming Singapore's public bus fleet by identifying and incorporating cutting‑edge bus technology in procurement exercises that directly enhance safety, improve the working experience of Bus Captains, and enhance the commuting experience for millions of Singaporeans.
Under the guidance of the Manager, you will contribute to evaluating and implementing new technologies such as advanced camera and collision warning systems that provide crucial safety alerts, and driver assistance technologies that detect fatigue and stress during shifts.
With Singapore's ambitious transition to electric buses, you will be at the forefront of battery technology and advanced monitoring systems, supporting the evaluation of next‑generation battery solutions and developing a predictive monitoring framework, including analysis of thermal management patterns and degradation indicators. As we introduce a significant number of electric buses on our roads, your role becomes very important in ensuring the safety and reliability of electric bus battery systems across Singapore's public transport network. This role also presents the exciting opportunity to support the management of autonomous vehicle (AV) buses as Singapore pioneers the future of public transport.
Working at the intersection of innovation and practical application, you will support technology evaluation initiatives, assist in emerging technology trials, and help implement solutions that keep Singapore's public transport system at the global forefront of technological advancement.
