Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks a hands-on service engineer for appliance and consumer electronics support. Based mainly at the Kaki Bukit office, you will inspect, diagnose, and take over technical cases, coordinating with service partners and factory engineers to resolve issues and improve products.

You will log cases, maintain test records in Excel, and train colleagues on technical matters. The role requires 3+ years of field experience and strong communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Nitec or Higher Nitec in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning.
• At least 3 years hands-on experience with household appliances or consumer electronics.
• Experience supervising technicians or coordinating service contractors.
• Able to diagnose electrical, electronic and mechanical faults.
• Comfortable explaining technical issues to customers clearly.
• Basic Excel for tracking cases.

Responsibilities

About us

This role leads our technical and after-sales service work and works closely with our service partners and the headquarter.

What you will do

• Inspect and test faulty or returned units to find the cause of the problem
• Take over technical cases that our service partners or customer service cannot resolve
• Work out whether a fault comes from the product, installation, usage, delivery or repair work, and decide the fix: repair, replacement, adjustment or escalation to the factory
• Manage and check the work of our outsourced service partners
• Work with the factory engineers on recurring issues and product improvements
• Keep case logs, test records and troubleshooting guides up to date (Excel)
• Give technical training and product input to our sales and marketing team

Day to day

• Mostly based at our Kaki Bukit office, with visits to customer homes for difficult cases.

What we are looking for

• Diploma, Nitec or Higher Nitec in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning
• 3years or more of hands‑on experience with household appliances or consumer electronics
• Experience supervising technicians or coordinating service contractors
• Able to diagnose electrical, electronic and mechanical faults
• Comfortable explaining technical issues to customers clearly and calmly
• Basic Excel for tracking cases
