Job summary

Ideals Recruitment Pte Ltd is seeking an IT technician to perform diagnostics, repair and maintenance on laptops and IT equipment at our Woodlands office. You will install Windows OS, configure software, and handle hardware replacements such as RAM, SSD/HDD and batteries.

You will image, deploy and test devices, ensuring security and SOP adherence. The role requires a Diploma/Nitec in IT or related fields, with experience in hardware repair and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Nitec / Higher Nitec in IT, Computer Engineering, Electronics or related disciplines.
• Experience in laptop/PC repair, IT hardware support or technical servicing preferred.
• Good knowledge of Windows OS, computer hardware and troubleshooting.
• Able to perform hardware replacement and basic software configuration.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of laptops and IT equipment.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows OS, software, drivers and applications.
• Conduct hardware replacement and repair, including RAM, SSD/HDD, batteries, screens, keyboards and other components.
• Perform laptop imaging, formatting, setup and deployment according to company requirements.
• Conduct hardware and software testing to ensure devices are fully functional before deployment.
• Troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, hardware, peripherals and connectivity.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, asset movements and service activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure IT equipment is properly maintained.
• Liaise with users and relevant teams to understand and resolve technical issues.
• Follow IT security, safety and company SOPs.
• Support other IT hardware-related tasks and projects when required
